It's now one whole month into 2009. I'm finally settling into the year. The last few weeks have been crazily buzy - what with school beginning, sports practices,cross-country race, record book and class register to complete, a whole lot of school meetings (70% of which were unnecessary!),fitting

everybody's 2009 (especially the son's) schedule together, hangover from Christmas,

sharing endings and beginnings, preparing for and celebrating Chinese New Year.

What's the title of that song....? Oh yes, I WILL SURVIVE!! Must find the song and add to my playlist. So what's next? As the saying goes "Time and tide waits for no man (or woman)". I believe that it is best to take everything as it comes along and do the best that we can with God's help. There is always something new to learn, something old to remember and cherish, something better to look forward to . Worry a little less... Laugh a little bit more... 2009 would be okay. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

Why?

"Why 'sylvanite'?" you may ask. Running to the dictionary may give you an idea of this soon to be 'former' English language teacher's choice of a blog name. Of course I know that for some of you techies 'running to the dictionary' would not be done with the legs these days but with your little fingers! Whatever suits you best. The raison d'etre for the appearance of this blog in cyberspace is my son JCTC. After I bugged him to start (and continue updating) his blog, his sweet revenge is of course to bug his mama in return. The dialogue would usually go like this: Son : So, when are you starting your blog? Mama: Soon Son: So, when? Mama: Not now. I'm too busy This happens like everytime I ask him about his blog. Thus sylvanite is starting now. In the course of time hopefully this blogspot will live up to its name.
